Trust & safety
Travel social — without the safety tax.
A storytelling platform that holds locations and live presence has obligations beyond a generic social network. Here's how we handle them.
Traveler safety
- Auto-delay on public posts (default 12 hours) so you're never broadcasting where you are right now.
- Hide last hotel of every trip by default.
- Live location is named-people-only and time-bounded.
- Domestic-violence safe-mode — one tap to wipe recent location data.
- Solo traveler safety check-in — silent if you're fine.
Community safety
- Block / mute / report take effect instantly.
- Comment-from-strangers requires 30+ day-old account.
- Elected community moderators with transparent action log.
- Appeals process for any moderation action.
- Coordinated harassment detection — pattern-based, not just keyword.
Local respect
- Sensitive locations (sacred sites, residences, restricted areas) flagged for storyteller review before publish.
- Local community partnerships — DMOs and resident groups can flag overcrowding hotspots.
- "Fragile destination" interstitial on stories with high environmental sensitivity.
- Permits and access rules surfaced before someone uses a story as an itinerary.
Children's safety
- 13+ to create an account; under-18 accounts default to private.
- Children's faces auto-blurred unless explicitly enabled by the parent / guardian.
- NCMEC reporting on CSAM detection (zero tolerance).
- Direct-message restrictions for underage accounts.
