Community guidelines
Last updated: May 2026
Plain-English summary
Tell true stories. Be kind. Respect locals. Don't ruin places by overcrowding them. Don't use Talesgram to harass anyone. Don't post content you don't have rights to.
The rules
- Be honest. Don't fabricate stories or impersonate other people. AI-generated photos must be labeled as such.
- Be kind. Talesgram is a community. No harassment, threats, hate speech, or coordinated targeting. Disagreement is fine; abuse is not.
- Respect locals. Don't share precise locations of someone's home. Don't tag people without consent. Don't promote disrespectful tourism.
- Protect fragile places. "Hidden gems" should stay viable. Avoid glamorizing trips that visibly damage the destination.
- Respect rights. Don't post content you don't own or have license to. Credit photographers; respect creators.
- No illegal stuff. No drug sales, no human trafficking, no exploitation, no CSAM. Reports go to law enforcement.
Moderation
Communities elect their own moderators. Talesgram staff handle platform-level violations (CSAM, coordinated harassment, illegal activity). All actions are logged and appealable.
Reporting
Report any post, comment, or account that violates these guidelines. Reports are triaged by humans. Repeat violations result in account suspension or removal.
