Talesgram has six built-in communities at launch — each one a curated feed, a chat space, and a place to organize group trips. Communities are run by humans, governed by the people in them, and reasonable about disagreements.
What's in a community
- Curated feed — stories tagged for the community, ranked by community moderators
- Chat — text and voice rooms for live conversations
- Trip board — looking for travel partners, ride shares, room shares
- Local events — community meetups, group hikes, food crawls
- Resource library — community-built guides, gear lists, route notes
Governance
- Community rules visible to everyone, voted on by members
- Moderators are elected from active community members
- Transparent moderation log — every removal is auditable
- Appeals process for any moderation action
- No platform-wide algorithmic suppression
